This newly created role is key to supporting the company's ongoing growth. It focuses on knowledge transfer, engineering development, and leading initiatives to automate and standardise label application machinery. The company supplies into key sectors including pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and retail.

As a hands-on engineer, you'll be involved in a range of tasks spanning electrical automation and mechanical build. You'll play a central role in turning bespoke systems into scalable solutions, improving technical documentation, and supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). You'll also collaborate closely with both the commercial and production teams to ensure project delivery aligns with broader business objectives.

The Role:

• Lead the automation and standardisation of label application machinery
• Carry out hands-on mechanical and electrical work, including wiring and gearbox systems
• Contribute to the design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and CAD-based systems
• Mentor junior engineers and work collaboratively across teams to ensure technical solutions support business objectives

The Person:

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar engineering role
• Background in a manufacturing environment
• Based within a commutable distance of York
