with a passion for solving complex technical challenges? We're excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical) to join our team at our brand-new site!

Warringtonfire, part of the Element Group has an exciting opportunity for multiple Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical) to join our growing team across multiple Fire Laboratory sites in Warrington. This is a great opportunity to join our Maintenance team for an established testing, inspection and certification business, which is undergoing a significant expansion project.

Responsibilities
Be accountable for your own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating in line with SSOW (safe systems of work) and company procedures to enable a safe working environment
Responsible for supporting all engineering breakdowns, diagnosing faults as soon as possible and replacement of parts
Enhancing, repairing, and maintaining all the plant equipment and plant services within the manufacturing facility as per the preventative maintenance schedule and updating the maintenance log
Installation and commission of new machinery and equipment projects
Continuous improvement projects during planned downtime and identifying engineering solutions to maximise efficiency of the plant
Requesting spares / consumables required to support the engineering activities to be undertaken
Responsible for individual performance measures i.e. Downtime, work order request close outs, Pm task completion, equipment availability, utilisation, budget, etc
Responsible for ensuring that a clean, tidy and hazard free working environment is maintained during maintenance activities to defined 5‘s standards
Take a proactive approach to continually improve housekeeping standards in engineering workshops and plant rooms around the facility
To work in support of a preventative maintenance strategy
Undertaking work of a predictive, preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance nature
Meet and exceed set KPI’s for safety, quality, and productivity
Ensure contractors are appropriately supervised, comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes in the management contractors working within the facility
Document and communicate as necessary comprehensive maintenance records
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and colleagues to improve team and cross-departmental relations

Skills / Qualifications
Significant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
BTEC HNC/HND or C&G Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering or similar
CMMS Software understanding
Forklift truck and mobile platform experience
Knowledge of Hydraulic systems, HVAC systems, water, gas, compressed air systems, electrical fault finding, electrical safety awareness
Basic understanding of electrical systems, PLC’s, Pneumatics, and other system
Read CAD drawings or SolidWorks
Multi-skilled at a maximum of 60/40 either mechanically or electrically biased
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Obtaining specialist components
Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload of self and others
Self motivated with flexible approach to work
Good Interpersonal skills
Training for the following:
Machine shop environment
Fork Lift Truck Driving
Swagelok Installations
Pneumatic Basic and Advanced
Safe Slinging and Manual Handling
Industrial Gases Safety Awareness
Working Safely
Working at Height
Coded Welder
