Salary: £41,125.50 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (Days Only)
We're looking for a skilled Day Shift Fitter to join our team at Poplars AD Plant. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll play a key role in keeping our anaerobic digestion facility running safely, efficiently and reliably through proactive maintenance and rapid fault response.
Your core responsibilities
Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across the plant.
Diagnose faults quickly and carry out effective repairs.
Support installation work and equipment improvements.
Drive plant reliability, uptime and continuous improvement.
Work closely with operations teams to minimise downtime.
Coordinate specialist maintenance activities with contractors.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
Support preventative maintenance programmes and root cause analysis.
Our essential requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter role.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced process, manufacturing, waste, water or industrial environment.
Understanding of planned preventative maintenance principles.
Ability to prioritise and respond effectively to breakdowns.
Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification preferred.
