Maintenance Lead

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer based in Rotherham to recruit a talented and experienced Maintenance Lead.

Location: Rotherham
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
Shifts: Monday-Friday – days only.

This Maintenance Lead will be responsible for a team of 8 multi-skilled maintenance engineers within a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing facility. This is a pivotal role, providing leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on support to ensure the plant’s equipment and systems operate at optimum efficiency.

• Oversee and coordinate all planned and reactive maintenance activities to the highest standards
• Drive performance improvement through the implementation of Continuous Improvement projects and best practices
• Apply Root Cause Analysis methodology following significant downtime events
• Maintain and update maintenance systems for accurate shift reporting and downtime tracking
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure maintenance practices align with OEM guidelines

• Time-served, qualified engineer (HNC/HND/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Strong electrical knowledge, combined with mechanical competence
• Demonstrated experience leading a team of shift engineers in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to apply CI and RCA methodologies
• Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
• Confident using CMMS systems and interpreting performance data to drive improvements.
• Effective communicator with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
