Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm | Friday 8:00am-2:00pm
Our client is seeking an experienced electrically biased maintenance engineer to lead a small engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment. This hands-on role combines maintenance, fault finding, team leadership and continuous improvement activities to ensure plant reliability and minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate and support a small team of one mechanically biased and one newly qualified engineer.
Manage and develop the Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) programme.
Prioritise maintenance activities and coordinate engineering resources.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
Support production teams with engineering solutions.
Maintain compliance, documentation and safety standards.
Assist with contractor management and site improvement projects.
Requirements:
Apprentice trained (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
17th or 18th Edition qualified.
Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within manufacturing.
Experience with:
Three-phase and single-phase motors
Electrical panel wiring
PLC fault finding
Inverters and control systems
Conveyor systems
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing.
Experience within manufacturing, packaging or processing environments.
Knowledge of labelling and printing equipment.
Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
