Days - Mon to Thurs - 8am-4.30pm & Friday - 8am-3.30pm

My client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers within its field of specialist products. The company is a well established producer, with over 40 years of experience, to the global markets. They are looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this secure business with a current group turn over in excess of £100 million.

Key Skills

• Apprentice Trained Electrical Engineer, Ideally with HNC or above
• Experience of Supervisory Role within FMCG/CNC/Production
• Understanding of PPM Systems in Manufacturing

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards, managing a team of engineers; with a working knowledge of automated CNC machinery, linked to a dedicated PPM system. The ideal candidate will come from a medium to heavy engineering supervisory background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with an electrical bias, but have some form of mechanical experience and ideally qualifications. You will be willing to cover general electro-mechanical work, managing the existing team as well as external contractors who will be involved in such tasks as welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes other manufacturing heavy machinery. There is a huge scope for this role to develop into a more senior role within the group, with development on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
