An expanding light manufacturing firm based near Orpington is hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead their in-house team. With a mixture of CNC machines, mechanical assembly tools, and packing lines, the business is seeking a Maintenance Manager who can handle both hands-on support and team leadership.

This is a permanent position with autonomy and direct influence over engineering strategy. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance planning, H&S, and contractor control. As the Maintenance Manager, you’ll work alongside the Site Lead to drive asset care, reduce downtime, and maintain compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Overseeing the maintenance of CNC equipment, handling tools, air systems, and building facilities
• Leading a small team of engineers and managing daily job schedules
• Creating, monitoring, and improving PPM systems
• Handling contractors, spares inventory, and H&S documentation
• Supporting long-term capex planning in line with your Maintenance Manager remit
