Asset Reliability: Maintain high equipment availability through robust planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes, minimizing downtime and optimizing machinery changeovers.
Financial & Project Management: Prepare and manage the annual engineering operating budget. Assist in delivering capital projects from initial concept and feasibility through to installation, commissioning, and completion.
Operational Collaboration: Partner closely with Production, Operations, Procurement, and Quality assurance teams to prioritize workloads, improve line efficiency, and ensure seamless production continuity.
H&S & Compliance: Ensure full legal and corporate compliance across health & safety, food safety, and environmental standards. Collaborate on risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and contractor controls.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Proven track record in an engineering or maintenance leadership role within an FMCG, manufacturing, or similar fast-paced operational environment.
Qualifications: Recognised engineering qualification (Mechanical and/or Electrical); an electrical qualification is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong coaching and mentoring capability with the ability to implement engineering strategy and continuous improvement processes.
Attributes: A decisive, data-driven problem solver who is comfortable influencing stakeholders and driving positive change in a routine-flexible environment.
