TN Talent are working in partnership with a well-established and highly successful engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to take ownership of a busy maintenance function within a technically demanding manufacturing environment.
We are looking for someone who combines strong hands-on technical knowledge with proven leadership experience. You will lead the maintenance team, drive improvements in equipment reliability and ensure production machinery and site facilities are maintained to a high standard.
The Role
As Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading, supporting and developing the maintenance team
* Managing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
* Ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment
* Overseeing the maintenance and repair of CNC machinery and associated manufacturing equipment
* Supporting complex mechanical and electrical fault finding
* Developing and improving PPM and preventative/predictive maintenance programmes
* Identifying recurring equipment issues and implementing permanent solutions
* Working closely with Production and Operations to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability
* Managing maintenance schedules, resources and critical spare parts
* Coordinating external contractors and specialist service providers
* Supporting new machinery installations, equipment upgrades and improvement projects
* Managing maintenance expenditure and contributing to capital equipment projects
* Driving continuous improvement across the maintenance function
* Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety requirements
About You
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
* Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Maintenance Engineer
* A strong background within engineering, manufacturing or precision engineering
* Previous experience maintaining and fault finding on CNC machinery
* Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
* Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Good knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and equipment reliability
* Previous experience leading and developing maintenance engineers
* A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
* The ability to work closely with Production and Operations teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
