As a Maintenance Manager, you''ll ensure the smooth operation and longevity of equipment and facilities within our organisation. Your responsibilities encompass strategic planning, overseeing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You coordinate maintenance schedules, manage maintenance staff, and allocate resources efficiently to minimise downtime and maximise productivity. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach enable you to identify potential issues before they escalate, implementing preventive maintenance measures to optimize performance and reduce costs. Through your leadership and expertise, you ensure that facilities and equipment remain in top condition, supporting the organization''s operational objectives and contributing to its overall success. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.). Proven experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry. Strong technical knowledge of food processing equipment, utilities, and facility systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance. Proficiency in using CMMS and other relevant software tools. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the maintenance team, including technicians, engineers, and support staff. Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities for the team to enhance their skills and performance. Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Create maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet production requirements. Utilize computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and equipment history. Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Ensure all production machinery and related equipment are properly maintained and repaired to meet operational standards. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of equipment as needed. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise equipment performance and efficiency. Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilisation of resources. Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.
