We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing commercial maintenance provider that delivers high-quality maintenance solutions, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient working environments for clients across the UK.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Reactive & Planned Maintenance Manager to join our client's team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong client relationships while delivering outstanding operational performance.
You will ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget, while maintaining full compliance with statutory requirements and consistently delivering a high level of service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and small works across multiple commercial contracts. Plan and oversee minor building fabric, mechanical, electrical, and compliance-related projects from inception through to completion. Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to agreed service levels. Act as the primary escalation point for urgent maintenance issues, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication with clients. Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery. Manage maintenance budgets, monitor expenditure, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure all works comply with current legislation, health and safety requirements, industry standards, and company procedures. Produce accurate operational and financial reports for senior management and clients. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and customer service throughout maintenance operations.
Desirable Qualifications
IOSH or NEBOSH qualification. IWFM membership or qualification. Relevant engineering, building services, or trade qualification.
