Maintenance Officer (Grounds & Open Spaces)

St Ives Town Council is looking for a practical, reliable and community-minded Maintenance Officer to help keep our town and surrounding villages clean, safe and well maintained. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors as well as indoors, takes pride in doing a good job, and is happy to turn their hand to a range of tasks including grounds maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning and safety checks. If you are positive, flexible and keen to play a part in supporting the local community and enhancing the experience of residents and visitors, we would love to hear from you.

The Council is proud of the part it plays in the community and provides quality services to its residents and visitors. It is also proud of the area and of the role that the Council plays in making St Ives and surrounding villages such a great place to live and to visit.

The Maintenance Officer plays a key part in making this happen. Working indoors and out, they perform a range of duties that help to keep the Council’s buildings and open areas tidy, clean and safe to use. The post holder will have and develop a range of skills to carry out the duties and will have a positive and flexible approach, a willingness to work hard, and a determination to do a good job.
