We’re looking for a Maintenance Operative to join the Delivery Team at our Gateshead Depot.

What will the role involve?

You will be working within the maintenance team, completing all maintenance related repairs on our bus shelters in and around the Tees Valley Area, ensuring they are completed on time and to the service level agreements. As part of this role, you will provide a hands-on service with various tasks including painting, replacing parts, metal repairs and occasional gardening work. You will also help our Posting & Cleaning Team from time-to time, ensuring our clients adverts are posted to a high standard and keeping the bus shelters clean for our local communities to use all year round.

You’ll be provided with outdoor clothing and a fully expensed Company Vehicle for business use including commuting to and from the depot and to get around our different settings including busy shopping highs streets, residential areas, and rural areas. Dedicated training and support will be available to help get you started.

What is required for the role?

• Completion of the NRSWA Certificate
• A Driving Licence with no more than three points
• Some experience using cordless hand tools
• Ability to problem solve
• Able to work successfully as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, carrying out physical tasks.
• Experience in a previous maintenance role would be preferred but not essential as training will be given
