Maintenance Person

A hands-on maintenance role, supporting the day-to-day operations of a health and fitness club, ensuring the building, equipment, and pool facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Salary - Up to 35k, depending on experience.

Hours - 40-hour week. Shits to start as early as 6am and as late finish as 8pm. 1 in 3 Saturday work required with a day off in lieu. The client requires some flexibility with hours for the needs of the business from time to time

Key Responsibilities

• Facilities Maintenance: Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and general repairs.
• Pool Plant Operations: Water testing, chemical balancing (Chlorine & pH), backwashing, and spa/shower area upkeep. (A pool plant course can be offered).
• Preventative Maintenance: PPM checks, logging issues in WAM system, and maintaining records.
• Security & Safety: Monitoring alarms, locks, fire extinguishers, and emergency procedures.
• Refurbishment & Deliveries: Assisting with redecoration and handling stock deliveries.
• Documentation: Keeping logs, stock takes and using basic Excel/Word tools.

Qualifications & Skills

Preferred:

• Pool Plant Operators Qualification

Essential:
