Job Description - Maintenance Person

PAY: Circa £14.50 per hour, 22.5 hours per week

Join Priority Care Group Ltd as a Maintenance Person where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our care homes are safe, functional, and welcoming for both residents and staff. Your skills will help maintain the highest standards of quality and care throughout our facilities.

As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for performing various tasks that keep our buildings and grounds in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general structural issues.
  • Maintain grounds and outdoor areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Handle maintenance requests from staff and residents in a timely manner.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and keep accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Assist with the setup for special events and support facilities with various maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with external contractors as needed for specialised repairs and services.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations at all times.
  • Proven experience in maintenance or repair work (building or facility maintenance preferred).
  • Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Drivers licence would be highly desirable (as some driving duties may be required)
