Maintenance Planner / Coordinator (Aviation) - Permanent role - Luton Shift: 4 on 4 off - Days, 07:00-19:00 Hours: 40 hours per week
The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planner / Coordinator to join a specialist Maintenance Operations team based in Luton. Working within a small and experienced team, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and managing aircraft maintenance inputs from initial customer contact through to completion.
This is a varied role, acting as the link between customers, engineers, technical services, internal departments and third-party providers to ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and coordinate aircraft maintenance inputs, primarily non-scheduled maintenance activities. *Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the maintenance process. *Coordinate with engineers, technical teams, internal departments and third-party suppliers. *Monitor maintenance progress and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and on schedule. *Provide customers with regular progress updates and effectively manage expectations. *Prepare, maintain and coordinate maintenance work packages and associated documentation. *Support the final audit and completion of maintenance paperwork. *Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and required standards. *Identify and resolve operational issues as they arise. *Maintain a high level of customer service, quality and operational efficiency. *Adapt to changing priorities and support the wider Maintenance Operations team as required.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced aviation or engineering environment. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders while managing changing priorities and deadlines.
Key skills and experience:
*Strong planning, administration and organisational skills. *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. *Ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities simultaneously. *Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems. *Professional, proactive and customer-focused approach. *Ability to work effectively under pressure. *Previous experience within an aviation, engineering, MRO or Technical Services environment would be advantageous. *A good understanding of aircraft maintenance processes would be beneficial. *Full UK driving licence required, as occasional travel to support other locations may be necessary.
Working Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off 07:00-19:00 40 hours per week The role may occasionally require alternative working hours depending on operational requirements.
