Maintenance & Stores Support Technician

Our client is currently recruiting a Maintenance & Stores Support Technician/Shift Operator Relief for their South Ayrshire base.
In the role you will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Planner & Stores Coordinator for receipting and storing goods into engineering stores and carrying out inventory checks on all engineering stores. You will also act as Shift Operator relief at certain times (nightshift included)
Responsibilities
Assist Maintenance Planner with the gathering and raising of quotes for purchase orders, receipting goods, if required when Maintenance Planner/Stores Coordinator is not on site.
Investigate continual improvement projects and focus on larger operations on site
Support the Process Leaders on specific improvement projects and operational data analysis.
Work as part of the Maintenance Team during periods of planned shutdowns.
Complete daily PPMs for the site and Complete maintenance PPMs allocated from Agility.
Able to travel to our client's site in Greater Glasgow 1 day per week to check site parameters and conditions (when not providing shift cover for absence).
Operations Team Support:
Provide cover for any sickness absence of longer than 1 week across client site and including cover for nightshifts when required where none of shift operators regularly on shift are available to do so.
Provide cover for Day Shift Technicians on when required (sickness absence &annual leave cover by example) and ensure PPMs are completed.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified to at least NC level or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline; ideally holding/HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent in Engineering Practice/Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
Telehandler/Forklift; IOSH Managing safely
Due to the location of the site and requirement to travel to our client's sites on a regular basis a full driving licence and access to a car are required. A Full driving licence is also a requirement as the role involves driving of site vehicles.
