Job Description - Maintenance Technician

Are you a skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and customer service? We're looking for a Site-Based Maintenance Engineer to join a global leader in special-purpose machinery, based at a customer site in Birmingham.
In this permanent, full-time role, you'll deliver high-quality maintenance and engineering support, ensuring state-of-the-art machines run efficiently and reliably. You’ll be a key point of contact for the customer, providing both reactive and preventative maintenance while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:

Perform planned and reactive maintenance on complex machinery
Provide first-time fixes and thorough diagnostics on breakdowns
Ensure machines meet or exceed performance expectations
Build strong daily working relationships with customer contacts
Maintain stock and tools, adhering to health and safety standards

What we’re looking for:

Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering (qualification or experience-based)
Previous experience in a customer-facing engineering role
Proficient with Microsoft Office and PC hardware
Process-driven with excellent communication skills
Positive, flexible approach to work
