Maintenance Technician

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, eager and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their Process Engineering team.

What You Will Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you will oversee all maintenance activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a fully site-based role, working closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams. You will ensure equipment reliability, safety and operational efficiency. You will co-ordinate preventative and reactive maintenance, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement including project work and 6S across production and warehouse operations.

How You Will Do It

* Perform planned preventative maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules

* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults on production equipment.

* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and support production teams in restoring operations.

* Conduct routine inspections of machinery and plant equipment to identify potential issues.

* Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

* Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

* Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.

* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.

* Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment performance issues.

* Manage and maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance consumables.

* Participate in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.

* Support contractors and external service providers during maintenance projects.

* Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures where applicable

What We Are Looking For

Required:

* 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

* Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills

* Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems / time predictive management

* Good understanding of HSE and quality standards

* Knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations

* Ability to prioritise and work under pressure

Beneficial:

* Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)

* Experience with automated or assembly line equipment

* Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tool

* Knowledge of Cryogenic & F-Gas

What We Offer

* Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 1:30pm.
