We're looking for a reliable and focused Maintenance Technician to join our team in Chichester.

Overtime is available and is paid at: - Monday to Friday x1.33 - Saturday x1.5 - Sunday x2 All subject to WTA terms and conditions
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, up to 45 hours per week (production dependant). The hours of work are between 06:00 to 00:00, rotating weekly shift pattern (early and late shift)
Your Time at Work
The Paint Shop Maintenance Technician ensures maximum uptime of critical automated paint application equipment, conveyor systems and local facilities. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated robotic spray systems, chemical tanks, and high-temperature ovens. The core goal is to maximise production efficiency while strictly adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot multi-axis paint robots and automated conveyor transport networks - Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on automated paint lines and other equipment - Repair pneumatic pumps, fluid delivery lines, electrostatic/pneumatic spray heads - Execute scheduled maintenance inspections on robots, spray booths, ovens, air-handling units, conveyor systems, local facilities (workplaces) and lift tables - Perform vibration analysis and thermal imaging on high-duty motors and fans - Document all completed maintenance activities within the site Smart Maintenance software
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will:
- HNC or equivalent technical certification in a relevant field - Completed apprenticeship or associate degree in mechatronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering - Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing facility - Previous experience in an automotive paint shop or chemical processing plant is desired, but not essential
