Scope:
Responsible for the
reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed making safety the top priority.
Assist with the smooth running of the maintenance service including maintenance of the plant utilities i.e. steam, compressed air generation, water circulation systems, hydraulic/pneumatic manufacturing processes and electronic/micro-processor-controlled moulding presses.
Maintain plant equipment and machinery to a high standard using planned maintenance systems.
Carry out simple repairs with gas, electrical and welding etc.
Support plant start-up shutdowns and deal with any break downs appropriately.
Assist with the security of the site, including buildings, plant and equipment.
Assist with compliance to our corporate services requirements including ISO IATF 16949 and Health & Safety Management Systems
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with the 5S standard.
Qualifications :
Electrical & Mechanical Qualifications (HNC etc)
Six Sigma desirable
Knowledge and experience:
Proven experience in a similar role
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Computer literate e.g. Excel/Word and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively
Experience of making sound judgementunder pressure
Team Player , with the ability to work on your own
Systematic and with high attention to detail
Strong mechanical or process engineering background that reinforces extensive know-how of high-end, high-volume injection moulding and assembly.
Working knowledge of machinery safety regulations and legislation
Ability to make decisions that maximise plant output and efficiency whilst balance those decisions with safety, product quality and cost
Hours of work
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday
Shift pattern may consist of 6.00 - 14.00, 14.00 - 22.00 and 22.00 -06.00
