Major Projects Programme Delivery Lead
A rare opportunity to lead a high-profile programmeat a pivotal moment for a major local authority in the West Midlands. Significant transport investment, including a new metro extension and major interchange, is creating once-in-a-generation opportunities for regeneration, economic growth and place-making.
Reporting to the Director, you will bring together major infrastructure, regeneration and town-centre initiatives into a coherent programme, providing senior leadership across operational readiness, governance, partnerships and delivery. You will also lead a major place masterplan from procurement through to emerging findings.
This role requires 3 days per week in the office/on site and is an initial 9 month contract!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead an integrated programme of major regeneration, infrastructure and place-based initiatives. Drive operational readiness for major transport infrastructure and coordinate cross-authority delivery. Lead procurement, mobilisation and delivery of a major place masterplan. Provide executive-level reporting, governance, risk management and strategic advice. Build effective relationships with regional partners, developers, investors and senior stakeholders. Accelerate delivery, resolve dependencies and maximise wider regeneration and investment opportunities. Experience Needed:
Senior experience leading complex regeneration, infrastructure, economic development or place-based programmes. Proven ability to translate strategy into measurable delivery across multiple projects. Experience operating within complex public-sector or local government environments. Strong experience of governance, procurement, programme assurance and consultant management. Confident working with senior executives, elected Members and strategic partners.
