About the Role

• Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating Food Technology lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.


• Create a curriculum aligned with national standards that fosters a love of food, nutrition, and practical cooking skills.


• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment within the Food Technology facilities.


• Motivate and challenge students to achieve their full potential, both theoretically and practically.


• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Food Technology department and curriculum.


• Participate in departmental meetings, training opportunities, and professional development activities.

The Person

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a relevant subject with demonstrable experience in teaching Food Technology.


• A strong passion for food and a deep understanding of food science principles.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.


• The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes creativity and problem-solving in the kitchen.


• A commitment to health and safety standards within the food technology setting.


• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
