Management Accountant

SF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our historic clients team near Shifnal. The successful candidate will lead on the month end process, ensuring close in a timely and accurate manner as well as provide high-quality reporting and analysis of monthly financial records.
This role involves coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, supporting the Finance Director with monthly management accounts, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting and reporting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Month-end Accounting: Review and interrogate monthly management accounts.
- Monthly Reporting: Produce monthly reporting packs detailing financial performance, balance sheet, and cash flow, with appropriate commentary on variances to budget and forecast.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with management and Finance Director to produce annual budgets and revised forecasts.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing processes and systems and identify areas for cost saving, efficiencies etc.
- Cash Flow: Prepare monthly/quarterly cash flow forecasts.
- Financial Controls: Ensure adherence to reporting requirements as well as support with year end audit 

Skills and Attributes:

- Experience in Manufacturing desirable. 
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive approach.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Studying a Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Thorough understanding of management accounting principles

This role is office based predominantly, however flexibility is given and there will be the opportunity to work from home one day a week.
