Management Accountant

Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting a well-established and growing automotive group with multiple sites in their search for an experienced Management Accountant.

About the Role:
Reporting into the Divisional Financial Controller, this is a crucial role responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts and maintaining strong financial controls across several sites. You'll be integral in providing insightful financial reporting and ensuring operational teams are supported with timely and clear financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports to tight deadlines
• Reconcile balance sheets and ensure compliance with accounting policies
• Oversee key month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and stock reconciliations
• Work closely with operational management to ensure awareness of financial performance and risks
• Support with budgeting and forecasting processes across the division
• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and audit requirements
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with HMRC and company standards

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive retail sector is essential
• AAT qualified or actively studying ACCA/CIMA (qualified by experience also considered)
• Strong Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and multitask
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Flexible and proactive approach to work in a dynamic, multi-site business
