Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
Processing and matching up to 500 monthly invoices
Supporting all aspects of month-end processing and VAT returns
Liaising with external accountants to prepare stat accounts
Managing credit control, chasing debt via phone and email (approx. 10% of the role)
Assist with transition of payroll and management reporting in-house
Leading budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis to support strategic decisions
Producing monthly management accounts and variance analysis
FP&A – interpreting financial data to provide insights into business performance and trends
Reviewing and reconciling staff expenses, mileage claims and fuel cards
Supporting continuous process improvements and business planning across departments
What you will need:
Previous experience in a similar role, such as Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner / Assistant Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager
Confidence with Xero and Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables essential)
A problem-solver’s approach – someone who spots issues and takes ownership to resolve them
Strong attention to detail and comfortable working independently
QBE or chartered considered
