We're working with a fast-moving, friendly company based in Skelmersdale that's on the lookout for a hands-on Management Accountant to join their close-knit finance team.

This isn't a role where you'll just be crunching numbers in the background-you'll be right at the heart of the finance function, taking ownership of everything from preparing accounts to reconciling the books. If you're someone who thrives on detail, loves making the numbers make sense, and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves, this could be a great fit.

• Preparing financial records right up to trial balance

• Posting and reviewing journal entries with accuracy

• Handling monthly bank recs and keeping the numbers in check

• Helping pull together management accounts with commentary and variance analysis

• Working closely with the rest of the finance team to make sure reporting's on point

• Spotting trends, analysing data, and flagging anything that doesn't look right

• Assisting with budgets and forecasts

• Making sure everything lines up with internal policies and accounting standards

• Supporting audits by prepping paperwork and answering queries

• Keeping financial records tidy and well-organised

• Solid experience as a Management Accountant (or similar role)

• Confident using Sage 200 and an Excel whiz (think pivot tables, lookups, the works)

• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Someone who's detail-driven, reliable, and can manage their own time

• Able to hit deadlines and work independently when needed
