Management Accountant

We are expanding our finance department and an opportunity has arisen for a permanent Management Accountant to join the team based in Helsby.

Our client has been successful in the energy sector for over 20 years and having acquired new businesses over the past 18 months are growing the business rapidly.

Description

• Production of monthly management accounts for various businesses including detailed variance analysis and commentary on financial and operational performance of the business.
• Supporting the year end audit process for the various group companies
• Supporting the finance team in the submission of financial models to the banks
• Invoice processing on sales and purchase ledgers
• VAT returns submissions and dealing with HMRC queries
• CIS returns and dealing with sub contractors for the property construction business
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
• Supporting the team in annual budgeting and P & L forecasting process
• Communication with suppliers, customers, lenders, key stake holders

Profile

• Studying towards CIMA / ACCA
• Good team player
• Query solving / problem resolution skills
• Strong communication skills
• Confident with Excel
• Sage line 50, desirable - not essential
