Management Accountant - West Cornwall - £30-£35k (including study support) + generous benefits and bonuses

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively re-engaged by a very long-standing client; a specialist services business which has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years and now serves clients throughout the UK. The company have tasked us with sourcing a Management Accountant to join them in a newly created role. The position is offered as a full-time, permanent contract and will be based at the company’s headquarters in West Cornwall.

This is a critical role within the business and will play a key role in facilitating their continued growth. Reporting into the Group FC, they are pulling out all the stops to attract an ambitious candidate to support them at this stage in their journey. The role comes with fully supported and financed professional study support (ACCA or CIMA), quarterly bonuses and a raft of other perks and benefits.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Preparing budgets, forecasts and financial reports

· Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures

· Providing financial reports and statements to assist with strategic decision making

· Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations

· Assisting with the development of internal controls

· Supporting audit process

· Working collaboratively with colleagues

For this role we seek a candidate with genuine ambition and a real hunger to advance their career. Suitable applicants will probably, though not essentially, be operating to at least AAT level 3/4 though exceptional QBE’s or those that have already commenced professional study will be happily considered. Applicants from both practice, commercial or not-for-profit environments considered. Good IT aptitude with strong MS Excel and digital accounting experience will be essential (ideally Sage & Xero).
