Management Accountant
Redditch- Office based 37.5 hours a week no hybrid.
£35,000-£42,000 per annum depending on experience

Are you a hands-on Management Accountant looking for a stand-alone role in a dynamic and growing SME? We are a well-established business based in Redditch, seeking an experienced and proactive individual to take ownership of our finance function.
As the sole finance professional in the business, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, working closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making and ensure robust financial control.
Management Accountant key responsibilities:

• Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts
• Prepare and submit Quarterly VAT returns
• Maintain accurate financial records using SAGE
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and HMRC
• Support directors with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Prepare and process monthly payroll through SAGE
• Lead annual Audit.

The successful Management Accountant will have the following skills and experience:

• AAT qualified or part-qualified CIMA (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a similar management accounting role, ideally within an SME
• Strong working knowledge of SAGE accounting software (essential)
• Self-motivated and able to manage a broad remit with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills.
• Working knowledge or XERO/ Salesforce/ BI reporting tools would be a distinct advantage.
