Management Accountant

Ascent Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting for a Management Accountant for a fantastic e-commerce/wholesale business in South Manchester.

In this broad role, you'll gain full exposure to the finance function including management accounts, commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, process improvements, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
• Lead the month-end process, ensuring all reconciliations and adjustments are completed
• Prepare cash flows
• Support and manage junior members of the team
• Process improvements
• Budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Assist with VAT and tax
• Ad hoc projects

Qualifications & Experience:

• AAT Qualified/or Finance Degree Qualified and ideally studying (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE will be considered
• Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with either stock, wholesale, e-commerce, or manufacturing (desirable)

Salary & Benefits:

• £42,000-£50,000 DOE
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
