Management Accountant

Michael Page are hiring for a Management Accountant for this well established manufacturing business in South Woodham Ferrers. This role will deal with all aspects of a month end process, with an emphasis on balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts in a multi site environment

Description

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform bookkeeping and reconcile purchase ledger accounts.
• Investigate and resolve purchase ledger discrepancies to ensure accurate product costing.
• Conduct reconciliations for multicurrency bank accounts.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Assist with intercompany transactions, invoicing and reconciliation.
• Contribute to month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset register (FAR) maintenance.
• Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns.
• Accurately calculate and report VAT on imports and exports, particularly under the UK's Postponed VAT Accounting system for imports.
• Process monthly deferred revenue and maintain relevant schedules.
• Track and analyse weekly sales revenue, providing detailed reports and insights to the Finance

Profile

The successful candidate will have a proven background in Management Accounts, combined with experience in a multi site, or multi entity environment. You will have the ability to work using your own initiative to deadlines and across a team environment
