Management Accountant – Independent School | Full-time | Hampshire | £55k

I'm working with a highly regarded independent school in Hampshire, seeking a Management Accountant to support the finance function and help drive informed decision-making across the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a broad, hands-on role and wants to be part of a mission-driven environment that values both professionalism and purpose.

The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting packs
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Maintaining financial controls and reconciliations
• Assisting with year-end processes and audits
• Working closely with department heads to monitor financial performance
• Contributing to process improvements and financial systems development

About You:

• Qualified or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Strong management accounting and Excel skills
• Experience of working in an independent school / school.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
• Experience in the education or not-for-profit sector is a plus, but not essential
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
