Management Accountant

A Management Accountant role has been newly created with succession planning in mind. This £20m turnover family owned business is going through an exciting transition period - ensuring that finance is a central part of this will be a large part of your initial remit. As the current Head of Finance is planning to retire within the medium term they're looking for someone who would be looking towards future career advancement.

This manufacturing business is well established with a large client portfolio and continues to grow organically through innovation. A recent investment in a new ERP system will enable far greater opportunities to improve management information - and you'll have the opportunity to take the lead on this, supported by the Head of Finance.

Other aspects include:

• Development of the monthly management accounting pack and management information, in addition to ad hoc analytical reporting
• Working closely with other departments e.g. production, purchasing, sales enabling better understanding of costs, risks and opportunities.
• Assisting the Head of Finance to optimise use of the new ERP system, investigating and implementing enhancement initiatives
• Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts and building relationships with key external bodies e.g. banks/auditors

This has the potential to be a hugely rewarding role, stepping straight into an influential role with the scope of a longer term career and advancement within the organisation. This would suit someone who is recently CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or approaching qualification who is looking for an opportunity to prove themselves. Experience within a manufacturing company is required and knowledge of an ERP system would be highly advantageous.
