Management Accountant

Reed Finance are working with a well-established manufacturing business seeking a diligent and commercially minded Management Accountant to support the finance function. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost control.

As the Management Accountant you will:

• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.
• Manage BOM setup, product costing, and standard costing with variance reporting.
• Deliver daily/weekly reports on sales, material, and labour variances.
• Share variance analysis with management and collaborate across departments.
• Identify and recommend ways to improve margins.
• Contribute to annual budgets and forecasts.
• Support strategic planning and capex decisions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
• Maintain a strong finance team structure and reporting coverage.
• Propose development plans aligned with leadership goals.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels.
• Proficiency in MS Office and financial management software
