Job Description - Management Accountant

The Company

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a market leading, FMCG business in West Manchester. Due to continued growth they require an ambitious, Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their team and support the Head of Finance with the management accounts and act as a business partner with the wider business.

Salary – Up to £40,000

Location – West Manchester

Hybrid – 3 days in 2 working from home.

Responsibilities will include:

Produce monthly management accounts including margin reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations.
Produce monthly commentary covering both the Profit and Loss Account and Balance sheet.
Analyse financial performance and report on variances.
Produce weekly cashflow
Support budgeting and forecasting process
Assume responsibility of accounting procedures – this will involve writing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Evaluate the company’s performance using key data – this will involve setting up standard kpi’s
Support the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functions where necessary

Person Specification:

ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified.
Exceptional skills in managing a heavy workload and conflicting demands, whilst consistently producing high-quality work to tight deadlines
Solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices
Experience of cost accounting and reporting desirable.
Intermediate Excel skills.
