Management Accountant

Are you an experienced Management Accountant with a background in retail or hospitality? Our client, a dynamic business based in Borehamwood, is seeking a Management Accountant to support their finance team and play a vital role in driving financial performance.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for preparing key financial statements, monitoring company performance, and providing critical financial insights to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare income statements and balance sheets
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce financial reports and variance analyses (actual vs. budget)
• Identify financial risks and present findings to senior leadership
• Communicate key financial data to non-financial managers
• Manage the company's bank accounts
• Handle accruals and revenue postings
• Manage accounts receivable
• Generate statistical reports and perform financial analysis
• Support month-end and year-end audits
• Prepare CAPEX and cash flow reports

About You:
The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a similar, varied Management Accountant role
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
• A solid understanding of discounted cash flows
• Excellent bookkeeping knowledge
• Strong communication skills, particularly when liaising with non-financial stakeholders
