Management Accountant – Manufacturing – £35,000 to £40,000 + Study Support

Location: Southg Derbyshire
Working Pattern: Full-time, on-site
Holiday: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Are you a Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant from a manufacturing background, looking for a role where you can truly make your mark?

In this newly created role, you’ll work closely with the Finance Business Partner and wider team to improve processes, sharpen insight, and add real value to commercial and operational decisions.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review costings and bill of materials (BOMs)
• Conduct gross margin analysis and track product profitability
• Support stock valuation and improve stock control processes
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs
• Support the month-end and year-end close process, including audit prep
• Continuously improve financial controls and process documentation

About You

• Experience in a manufacturing finance environment is essential
• A solid understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and BOMs
• Part-qualified, AAT-qualified, or QBE
• Excellent Excel skills and an analytical mindset
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising across finance and operations
• Detail-oriented with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
