Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Knutsford | £45,000 - £55,000

An opportunity to work with a highly successful privately owned business based in Cheshire, in a role designed to oversee month end MI production whilst aiming to proactively add value to internal non-finance stakeholders.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will have a broad role with main duties including;

• Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including management accounts and key performance summaries
• Collaborate in the preparation and coordination of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement
• Track actuals against budgets and provide variance analysis with meaningful business insight
• Support cost management initiatives and assist departments with financial planning
• Ensure accurate posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments during month-end close
• Maintain integrity of accounting records through reconciliations and regular review of key accounts
• Work with internal stakeholders to improve financial transparency and decision-making
• Assist in preparing documentation and analysis for external audits and internal reviews
• Contribute to enhancing finance systems, processes, and reporting tools
• Uphold compliance with company financial controls, procedures, and relevant regulations
• Undertake financial modelling or project-based analysis to support strategic initiatives

Candidate profile;

• CIMA/ACCA Qualified or Finalist
• Proven expeirence within Management Accounts
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communciation skills
