Management Accountant – East Lothian
Location: East Lothian (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation based in East Lothian to recruit a skilled and motivated Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of management reporting and play a key role in supporting business performance.

About the Role

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information to support strategic and operational decision-making. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Monitor financial performance and provide insightful commentary
• Maintain accurate cost centre reporting and assist with cost control
• Assist with year-end processes and liaise with auditors
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency

About You

We’re looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) with:

• Experience in a similar management accounting role
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
• Experience with financial systems
