A forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants with over 20 years of success, is expanding its presence in Stamford. With a strong client base across rural business, landed estates, property, renewables, and private clients, the firm is now seeking an experienced and ambitious Management Accountant to join its growing outsourcing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a modern, dynamic practice with a diverse portfolio.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare and review management accounts, including cash flows, key performance indicators, and budget vs actuals.
• Maintain and update clients' accounting records with accuracy and efficiency.
• Review VAT returns and provide payroll oversight.
• Support clients with financial forecasting and internal process improvements.
• Provide interim financial controller support as needed.
• Oversee, develop, and mentor junior team members.
• Review the output of junior staff to ensure quality and compliance.
• Engage closely with clients, building strong working relationships.

Personal Requirements

• AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Prior experience in a practice environment is essential.
• Strong bookkeeping and VAT return experience.
• Good working knowledge of payroll processing.
• Experience with Xero and Sage is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
• High level of numeracy and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to adapt, implement change, and work in a fast-growing environment.
• An interest in rural business, renewables, and landed estates is a plus.
