Job Description - Management Accountant

A dynamic and growing construction business in Central London is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join its collaborative finance team.

This role supports two specialist entities within the group, both delivering high-quality interior fit-outs and workspace solutions. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment with clear opportunities for progression and development.

This role is 4 days in the office and 1 from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including invoice and payment processing, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping
Reconcile bank statements and assist in month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple entities
Handle CIS and VAT returns in line with HMRC regulations
Produce weekly and monthly financial reporting for the Financial Controller and company Directors
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis
Identify and implement process improvements across financial operations
Support annual audit preparation and year-end accounts

Experience & Skills Required:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)
Prior experience within the construction industry and knowledge of construction accounting and project cost management is highly desirable
Strong analytical and communication skills
Confident working autonomously and managing varied priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of COINS or similar accounting software is an advantage
