Management Accountant

We are seeking a Management Accountant with strong financial acumen to take charge of the company's financial health by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements in our retail industry.

Description

The Management Accountant will;

• Plan and implement mid-month reviews of fixed cost accounting to ensure resource is optimised to deliver on monthly close timetable
• Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time and reconciling items investigated and resolved monthly
• Appropriate evidence maintained to support period end prepayments, accruals and controls
• Compliance with internal control requirements
• Responsible for the complete and accurate recording of the monthly operating expenses and payroll
• To ensure the associated balance sheet control accounts and analyses are correctly stated at month end

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• Part-qualified qualification CIMA or similar
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Knowledge of financial forecasting and risk analysis
• Strong understanding of business strategy concepts
