Job Description - Management Accountant

We’re working with a £250m European group looking to hire a part-qualified Management Accountant into their UK finance team, based in Horwich, Bolton.

You’ll be working closely with the Finance Manager and Group Finance Director to support accurate monthly reporting, manage key reconciliations, and partner with business leaders across the UK operation.

This is a great opportunity for someone part-qualified (or finalist) looking to step up in a high-quality team with strong mentorship, exposure to a multinational setup, and future progression.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Prepare and review account reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
Maintain internal controls and support compliance activity
Partner with business leaders to help them make informed decisions based on financial data
Liaise with the group’s shared service team on transactional finance matters
Continuously review and improve finance processes for efficiency and accuracy

About You:

Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with good progress toward full qualification
Experience in management accounting and the month-end process
Comfortable preparing journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet items
Confident working with non-finance colleagues and explaining financial info clearly
Highly organised, self-motivated, and keen to develop
Experience in an international or multi-entity business is a plus
Manufacturing background helpful, but not essential

What’s On Offer:

£40,000 – £45,000 base salary
