Job Description - Management Accountant

Axon Moore are excited to be supporting a well-established business in Lancaster to recruit a new Management Accountant. This role will be reporting in to the Finance Director. This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £40,000.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
Hands-on work includes bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
Oversee and reconcile stock as part of the monthly and year end close process
Maintain and validate the standard costing system
Interpret and provide commentary on variances to budget and forecast
Support the Group month end and year end processes
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes.
Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Processing quarterly VAT returns.
Work with non-finance people within the business to partner on commercial matters.
Deal with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, HMRC, and suppliers.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management.
