Management Accountant

Pure are delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant to join an established business based in Colchester. Our client offers flexible, hybrid working and study support.

This is a vacancy that would suit someone with proven month end accounting experience, either an active studying candidate or someone who has AAT level 4 as a minimum. Experience in Xero or Microsoft Dynamics will be beneficial.

This is a unique role and would suit someone who is a stickler for details, loves a good spreadsheet, thrives on tight deadlines, can follow a process accurately, and has experience in balance sheet reconciliation. Analytical thinking and ability to understand/analyse big sets of data is a must for this role.

Responsibilities of this role are:

• Bank reconciliation
• Prepayments and accruals
• Manual journal preparation
• Intercompany account reconciliation
• Fixed asset register maintenance
• Review of nominal activity and department tracking
• Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Meeting month end close date deadline

Experience and skills required:

• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics and in particular Excel
• Understanding of currency and international transactions
• Understanding of intercompany accounting and group company structure
• Excellent client and internal communication skills
• ACCA/CIMA studier/AAT level 4 qualified
