Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Edinburgh City Centre (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000+ DOE

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join a high-performing finance team within a leading professional services firm, based in the heart of Edinburgh. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, modern, and supportive environment where your contributions will play a pivotal role in the operational and financial efficiency of the business. This is a hands-on and varied role where you’ll work closely with senior management and other key stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis
• Design and sustain a robust set of management reports to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Deliver actionable financial insights through thorough data analysis and interpretation
• Review and validate ledger entries to uphold the accuracy and reliability of financial records
• Contribute to the enhancement and optimisation of financial systems and reporting capabilities
• Ensure timely and accurate VAT returns, maintaining all necessary supporting schedules and documentation
• Assist in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Lead the external audit process

Key Experience

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within professional services
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with proven ability to manage complex data sets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
