Management Accountant

Outstanding opportunity for a Management Accountant who would be keen to transition towards a Financial Controller role within the short to medium term. This privately owned manufacturing company (circa £20m t/o) is impressive - their products are niche, their focus is on quality and 75 years+ since their establishment they continue to thrive and their market continues to grow. On-site, you can really feel the sense of pride in their employees, they have a strong leadership team in place and following recent capex investments they're poised for the next phase of growth.

This role has a broad and commercially focussed remit looking at adding value to decision making. You'll report to the Finance Director who has a strong track record of supporting and developing staff and the culture of the business is such that you will be encouraged to be innovative and solutions focussed. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and development of the monthly management reporting pack
• Development of a suite of KPI reports working in conjunction with all areas of operational management
• Attendance and input into management meetings and leading the budgeting and forecasting process

This role would suit a newly CIMA/ACCA qualified Accountant or someone approaching final level who has relevant experience within a manufacturing company and is looking for an opportunity to move towards a Financial Controller role. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and strong IT skills are required and knowledge of an ERP system would be advantageous.
