Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Chester | £40,000 - £47,000

An opportunity to join a private equity backed business based in Chester offering an extremely flexible working environment as well as tangible career progression.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will complete a range of duties and be responsible for start to finishing accounting of a subsidiary entity.

Main duties include;

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform variance and trend analysis
• Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts
• Provide cost centre and departmental reporting
• Help improve financial reporting processes
• Support internal audits and compliance checks
• Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journals
• Liaise with non-finance teams to explain financial data
• Contribute to ad hoc analysis and projects as required

Candidate profile;

• ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified/Finalist
• Proven hands on management accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong excel skills
• Curious nature – understand the meaning behind the numbers
