Management Accountant

Company Details and Job Overview:

An experienced and commercially astute Management Accountant is required to join a Carlisle based business due to a team restructure and succession planning. This business facing role offers lots of stakeholder interaction, with opportunity to add value to the finance function and wider business.

Your New Role as Management Accountant:

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack including P&L, balance sheet, commentary and analysis
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support effective business decisions
• Assist the Finance Director with year end accounting/audit requirements
• Production of budgets
• Cash flow forecasting
• Collaborate with internal teams to monitor and control costs, giving relevant insight and advice as required
• Identifying areas for process improvements within the finance function
• Mentoring 2-3 Accounts Assistants
• Support with ad hoc project work

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), proven in a similar level role. Commercially minded with strong analytical capabilities, you will thrive in people facing roles as this position includes regular liaison with a variety of stakeholders including non-finance senior management. Additionally, you will have a flair for enhancing existing systems and procedures within a finance function with the confidence to put forward your ideas relating to this.
